Not what I expected February 26, 2010

It is nice that this set is all solid wood, at least as far as I can tell. However, besides the blue, the colors are not as bright as pictured and the table top of my set was not hand painted well and is not as sharp as the tabletop in the picture. The chair seats do not attach to the chair legs or back, which does not seem good for a rough preschooler or younger child. Worst of all, the set, especially the table at 23.5", is too tall for a 2 year old. Maybe a 3 year old would be comfortable but the table still might be too tall. The height issue and chair structure are strange because by the time most kids could sit comfortably at this set (4 or 5 yr old is my guess), they'd be ready or almost ready to move on from Maisy-themed furniture.
