As a previous reviewer mentioned, the puzzle stacker we received does have numerous rough edges, unlike the Haba and Melissa and Doug etc toys we own. I haven't filed the edges down, and they don't bother my 2.5yrold at all (ours is not jagged enough to cause splinters or scrape her skin, more-so just rough). Our version's colours are vibrant as pictured though.
My 2.5yr old daughter enjoys manipulating this puzzle stacker - at this point she is able to pair the correct sized colored/natural pieces together, but is not really interested in then stacking the pairs in correct size order. She also enjoys rolling the pairs across the floor and watching them wobble apart.
Because of how much she enjoys playing with it, I would buy it again. For the price it should be finished better though.

This is a twist on the traditional stacking toys with couple of added levels of complexity. If the plain wooden pieces are not interlocked with the colored piece according to size then all the pieces will not fit into the stacking rod. My daughter got this toy when she was 21 months old and is slowly figuring out all the levels of play. I think it will be a really good educational toy for a couple of years.

My son really loves this puzzle stacker. At first, he got frustrated before he figured out how to fit the puzzle pieces together for the perfect stack. If you kid loves to problem-solve and troubleshoot, this toy will engage!

I got this toy as a gift for my nephew after seeing that Parents Magazine gave this toy an award. My nephew absolutely LOVES it and can't stop playing with it! To say that I highly recommend this product would be an understatement. I couldn't disagree more with another review. The edges of the product are not jagged at all and I find the colors to very bright. The wood is also of great quality. I haven't bought any other products from this company but I definitely plan to as they have a bunch of really cool and innovative products. But again, the puzzle stacker is a great gift!

I bought the stacker thinking that it would be a fun toy for my grandsons and after seeing them play I definitely recommend the P'kolino Puzzle Stacker because THEY LOVE IT!!! It's not only a fun toy for them; it's also educational and helps to improve their motor skills.
